For this ninth edition of Christian'Drouin's Experimental series, they have chosen to focus on Scotland. This country is the birthplace of single malts and is of course also home to the historic Arran distillery.

Drouin and the Arran distillery have known each other for years and have been exchanging barrels for about two decades now.

In this case, Drouin has chosen to mature a 13-year-old Pays d'Auge Calvados, which is round and fruity in taste, in six French oak barrels. These barrels previously contained Arran whiskey.

After maturing for 6 months in these barrels, the Calvados was bottled as a limited edition of 1992 bottles. We have 36 of these for the Dutch market.
