Description : The deep skin of Casal de Ventozela is a so-called orange wine. This wine is made from white grapes with skin soaking. This normally happens precisely when making red wines or rosé wines.

During fermentation, the skins of the white grapes are not separated from the must (the fermenting juice of grapes). The husks and must sometimes stay together for a few days, but also for months. In that period, the grapes give two important things to the wine in the making, color and tannins.

By allowing the skins, seeds and stems to ferment, you get a wine with a firm and robust structure.

The deep skin is made from the Avesso grape. The color is dark golden yellow with a light pink tinge. In the scent a light honey touch, almond and yellow peaches and sherry. The taste is dry, firm with tannins from the contact with the skin - and savory, slightly fruity flavors reminiscent of dried apricots and salt. The acidity is modest, but the wine has a nice structure.

The wine is very gastronomically usable. Think of all kinds of fish dishes, risotto and also shellfish such as a beautiful lobster.
