Tasting notes
In the glass, the Musar Jeune Blanc has a light straw yellow color. On the nose the wine has floral notes, pineapple and pear, dried apricots, smoky, a touch of green herbs, basil. In the mouth the wine is medium to full bodied, powerful and tasty. Creamy with hints of mint, ripe melon, a hint of sweet and a tasty bitter in the aftertaste. The wine pairs well with grilled tiger prawns, smoked mackerel and of course Lebanese mezze. Serve slightly chilled.
Producer
Chateau Musar was created in 1930 by Gaston Hochar in the historic family castle, which dates back to the 18th century. This was perfect for making and storing the wines. About a million bottles are currently maturing in the cellars, waiting for the most optimal moment to present them to wine lovers from all over the world. Wine making here continued unabated during the Civil War. Only in the years '76 and '84 no wine was made due to the war. The grapes had to be transported straight through the line of fire over a distance of 100 kilometers to the winery just north of Beirut.
