This special Clairin Vieux Sajous rum has matured in barrels that previously contained Mount Gay, Bielle and Caroni rum or bourbon. This version - produced by Michel Sajous at the Chelo distillery in Saint-Michel de l'Attalaye - reveals remarkable flavors and aromas accompanied by a rare intensity. With this incredibly pure rum, the nose and palate are pampered by a deep mineral-like purity from one of Haiti's best terroirs.

Tasting notes:

Nose: Refined and fresh. Blooming geranium, gum arabic, kiwi and fresh sugar cane juice.

Taste: Elegant and intense. Intense sugar cane followed by a spicy character and sweet notes of honey.

Aftertaste: Long and full. Chocolate and vanilla followed by bay leaf, sage, cinnamon and dried banana.
