About the region:
Roussillon is a large area in the south-east of France. Enclosed by the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean Sea. In the past, large quantities of simple cheap table wines came from here. Today young promising winemakers have discovered that this is an ideal area to make high quality wines.

About the winery:
Sandwiched between the azure Mediterranean and the mighty Pyrenees, in the extreme south of France between Perpignan and the coast, lies the 15th century mas Domaine Lafage. Around the ancient cellars are no less than 140 hectares of vineyards on poor soils of schist and lime. The domain is now run by the sixth generation of vignerons: the passionate winemaker couple Jean-Marc and Eliane Lafage. After many wanderings around the world and having worked for various wine producers, Jean-Marc has returned to the parental wine nest.

Particularities:
Miraflors is the old name of Domaine Lafage and the office is now located on the site of the old cellars.
