Filey Bay expands horizons to Portugal with their first Port Finish release. It gives extra sweetness and spice to the ex-bourbon aged house style 'field to bottle' whisky.

Filey Bay Port Finish Batch #1 first matured in ex-Bourbon casks (filled mid 2017) before being transferred to fresh ex-Ruby Port casks at the end of 2020. Ruby Port is clear and light and uses more fresh fruit than the heavier, richer and more famous Tawny, and the casks are hard to come by. This release is a much smaller batch than the other 'finished' whiskeys with only 3300 bottles available and has also spent much longer in the second cask, a total of two years.

Taste Notes : Rich, spicy and fruity with flavors of blackberry jam, dark chocolate and vanilla.
