The Dragon
The left arm of the Campbeltown cross shows the Archangel St Michael and his followers fighting a fire-breathing dragon. This second release (No2 of 5) is therefore entirely dedicated to the fire-breathing dragon.
Fire, an element that many distilleries battled during Campbeltown's whisky heyday. Just as dragons are known to burn down villages and castles, it was not an uncommon occurrence for a distillery to catch fire.
Just as St Michael and his warriors fought as a unit against the dragon, the people of Campbeltown once formed a community that did everything it could to save the distilleries from an untimely fate.
Tasting notes
Nose: Warming with fiery and smoky notes of dragon fire.
Taste: Subtly salty with hints of red candied fruits and roasted berries.
