Glenmorangie The Original is an inviting single malt whiskey from the Highlands. The Original defines the corporate identity of the Glenmorangie distillery.

Color: Pale lemon gold
Scent: Imagine yourself in an Italian garden surrounded by fruits ripening in the sun such as mandarin, lime, apple, pear and peach. Add to this the scent of vanilla ice cream, and then enjoy the spicy aromas of geranium and wild mint growing nearby.
Taste: Taste the fruits from the Italian garden. The creamy vanilla glides silkily over your tongue like the vibrant flavors of peaches. tangerines and lemon melt together in your mouth.

Bearing:
The whiskey is distilled twice in the longest stills in Scotland and thus gets its delicate layering with many floral and fruity elements.

The maturation in ex-bourbon barrels of American white oak adds notes of vanilla and peach. The barrels are only filled twice with spirit. In addition to 1st fill and 2nd fill of the ex-bourbon barrels, each bottle of Original contains a little whiskey matured in designer barrels, made from slowly grown American oak from our own forest in the Ozark mountains (USA), which is air-dried and dried with the hand burned.
