As with the original batch, primary aging in ex-bourbon casks softened the whiskey and developed its signature flavor profile. While a secondary maturation, the finish, in Shaved Toasted and Re-charred ex-red wine casks a beautiful deep color and delicious flavors of red fruit to the whisky. Aged in bourbon barrels. and then finished in red wine barrels from Rioja, Filey Bay STR Finish combines Citrus and Caramel with Summer Berries, creating a sweet and smooth oak flavor that is absolutely delicious.
