Named after an island rich in meadows and forests, this 18-year-old has a strong oak character, with hints of summer grass, tropical fruit and tangy citrus. The Master Cooper of 18 years ago was Tommy Wallace, who carefully selected the best barrels to age the distillate, for a minimum of 18 years, allowing time and nature to do its work on the sweet character of the wood. The 18-year-old Inchmurrin is non-chill filtered: "to keep things gravy as nature intended".

Nose:
Rich, deep aromas of heather honey perfectly balanced with hints of processed oak.
Taste:
full, with a strong oak character in harmony with tropical fruits such as pineapple, mango and kiwi. Spicy citrus notes emerge from the background.
Finish:
Long and warming, elegant oak and stem ginger.

The Loch Lomond Group (LLG) includes the two active distilleries Glen Scotia and Loch Lomond. In addition, LLG also has the stock of the prestigious closed distillery Littlemill in its ranks. This makes the history of the LLG brands one of the oldest in the Scottish whiskey industry. The Loch Lomond distillery is located in the town of Alexandria on the border of the Lowlands and the Highlands. Two whiskey brands are distilled here with great passion. Namely, Loch Lomond and Inchmurrin, the last brand of Inchmurrin is a Single Malt whiskey named after the largest island in the mythical "loch" after which the distillery is also named, Loch Lomond. The area, along with the Speyside, was the epic center for the Single Malt whiskey industry for decades. However, several distilleries have closed over the years, making the "Loch Lomond Distillery" unique in its kind. The distillery with the same name of the mythical and largest lake in Scotland is characterized by the variety of whiskey that is distilled. It is therefore one of the few distilleries in Scotland that commercializes aged Single malt Whisky, non-aged Single Malt whisky, Blended whiskey and a 100% Grain whisky. The whiskey also comes from the Loch Lomond distillery, Captain Haddock's favorite whiskey from the Tintin comic strip.
