This small estate is owned by Jean-Marc and Nicolas Chevreau. It is one of only four château produced Sancerres with an average annual production of some 35,000 bottles. Located in the middle of France in the Loire Valley, the vineyards consist of 50% clay and 50% limestone. Before phylloxera wiped out the vineyards of Europe, Sancerre was known for producing Pinot Noir. When the vineyards were replanted, Sauvignon Blanc became the primary planting in the mid-20th century.
The Sauvignon for the Sancerre blanc is planted on limestone, resulting in a very mineral wine.
Colour
Bright yellow
Odor
Fresh and juicy peach fruit interspersed with typical sauvignon blanc notes of lemon balm, green grass and boxwood

Soft, ripe juicy, yet full of Sauvignon freshness. A wonderfully pure wine with a subtle green twist of aromas such as boxwood with a very refreshing aftertaste.
Sancerre as Sancerre is intended; tight, pure, recognizable fruit, minerals and also wonderfully fresh.
