The wines of Oude Kaap originate in the beautiful Franschhoek valley with the steep mountains of Groot Drakenstijn in the background. Determination, perseverance, passion and innovation are the spearheads of Oude Kaap and this legacy still lives on in the new generation of winemakers. The best grapes from the region are selected for the wines of Oude Kaap. Through intensive contact with the winegrowers, the winemakers of Oude Kaap determine which plots are best suited, as well as a very strict selection of grapes and which barrels are chosen for the wines in the Oude Kaap series. Oude Kaap is part of DGB/Douglas Green Bellingham, one of South Africa's largest independent wine producers and distributors.

Grape Variety/Vinification
The Blanc de Noir is the rosé wine of the Old Cape. The wine is made from the Pinotage grape. The light pink color is created because the juice is only allowed to come into contact with the skins for a very short time, so that the skins cannot transfer many coloring agents to the juice.
