anCnoc, a modern tradition

Like the Peatheart, the anCnoc Sherry Cask Peated Edition has undergone its first maturation period in American oak and Hogshead casks. The difference is in the finish, because this whiskey has been in sherry casks. This results in a beautiful interplay between sherry and smoke influences. The whiskey is non-chill filtered while retaining its natural colour. During production, anCnoc has used 2 copper pot stills, based on the original design from 1894. The spherical bases and long neck give anCnoc its distinctive flavours.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Sweet honey aromas predominate, tropical fruit, cinnamon, toffee and fine smoky notes.

Taste: Toffee, apples, strong vanilla influence with a predominant smoky character.

Finish: Long, caramel and vanilla.
