For this experiment, our Malt Master Brian Kinsman wanted to use the traditional whiskey barrels in an extremely unusual way. In collaboration with a Speyside craft brewer, Brian created a strong, yet fresh IPA beer that would fill our oak barrels with solid hop notes. Not only did she develop a new craft beer, she created the first Single Malt Scotch Whiskey finished in India Pale Ale casks.
