Most whiskey from India is not exactly very satisfactory. Quality Amrut this is a big exception. They still make traditional whiskey and let that very long ripening Indian standards. The whiskey they make in the traditional Scottish way, only whiskey matures because of the high altitude, the heat and dry air very fast, more than three times as fast as in Scotland. The Angel's Share 15%, for comparison, in Scotland is  ½ to 2%. Because of the dry air evaporates more water than alcohol and increasing the alcohol content during ripening. Therefore Amrut is 4 years old already relatively mature. The tank is only half full. The result is a separate and fine whiskey.
