Wine House
In 1982, Compania Vaziani was founded as a leading winery in the Telavi region, Kakheti, Georgia. At the time it was among the most modern wineries in the area. After Georgia's independence in 1991, the Georgian wine industry has been on a journey full of challenges. This journey featured the preservation of the traditional method of qvevri winemaking, which is more than 8,600 years old, as well as the integration of modern European techniques practiced in Georgia since 1812. In 2012, Vaziani Winery gave a modern boost to the European production line by installing advanced Italian equipment for pressing and fermentation control. This upgrade included high-quality stainless steel tanks. During this modernization, 39 qvevri amphorae were also restored. These amphorae were more than 120 years old and date back to the Makashvili Kingdom era.
Vaziani's 120 hectares of vineyards are located in the well-known Kindzmarauli microzone. Mainly native grape varieties are grown here, but in recent years some foreign grape varieties have also been introduced. The talented winemakers of this winery have taken full advantage of the extraordinary properties of the Kindzmarauli microzone. They produce both traditional qvevri wines and internationally acclaimed wines using modern European techniques.
Vaziani's quality wines are based on careful grape selection, manual harvest with strict quality control and innovative winemaking methods. Vaziani wines combine tradition and modernity to deliver high-quality products that deserve international recognition.
