Region: Originating from the hills surrounding the famous historic town of Verona on the Adige River. For centuries a place where roads and water bring people together to share news, knowledge and products. The grape vines here come from all over the world and are warmly welcomed in the fertile soil. They generously return that diversity and warmth in the form of wines that, like the Italian operas, are open to the world, with a particularly warm and accessible character.

About the winery: In the heart of the Valpolicella area are the cellars of Cantina di Negrar. Since its founding in 1933, it has grown into a hypermodern company with modern facilities. A lot of marble used to be mined in this area because it could be found just below the earth's surface by simply removing the stones. These stones were used as boundary fences in the vineyards. The 'Le Preare' series owes its name to the stacked stone partitions, the so-called 'preares'.

Details/comments: The grapes are given the opportunity to fully ripen and have even been allowed to dry out a bit. The grapes are picked by hand and the harvest therefore only starts late.

Tasting notes: A full, soft wine in which the black cherries and plums are supported by herbs and a light wood tone. In the mouth a refined finish with mild tannins.

Serving suggestions: Delicious with grilled meat dishes, spicy dishes, mature cheeses and typical Italian pasta dishes.

Serving temperature: 18-20° C.
