Glen Scotia Single Cask

The new make spirit was poured into a 1st Fill Bourbon Barrel in 2017, after which it spent its final maturation period in a 1st fill Bordeaux Red Wine Hogshead. After six years, a fruity and sweet whiskey with a velvety texture has developed. This results in a pure and intense whiskey experience that every whiskey connoisseur will appreciate. This was the moment that master distiller Iain McAlister thought the time was right to have the whiskey bottled. This was done while retaining natural color and non-chill filtration. Only 233 bottles were produced and these have been made exclusively available by Glen Scotia to Dutch whiskey lovers.

Glen Scotia Distillery

Glen Scotia is a small distillery in Campbeltown. The typical spicy and maritime whiskeys for which Campbeltown is known have been distilled here since 1832. In 2021, the distillery was crowned Scottish Distillery of the Year. Glen Scotia's dedication, craftsmanship and determination is an inspiration to everyone in the area. Tasting notes

Nose: Notes of malted barley and clementine.

Taste: Sweet influences predominate, hints of baked red apple, crystallized ginger, cinnamon and juicy strawberries are clearly noticeable.

Finish: Balanced with a sweet character with layers of golden syrup emerging.
