To determine the harvest time accurately, QdA attaches great importance to controlling ripening. They regularly use samples from the vineyards. Evaluating and controlling various parameters that go beyond the essential ones, with the aim of achieving the superior quality of these wines. QdA's involvement in the cellar is minimal, so that all the potential of the terroir can express itself in the most natural way. The fermentation is temperature controlled. In used French oak barrels for 12 months. Before bottling, the product is stabilized and filtered. Bottled in 2022.

*Charneca – One of the three terroirs in the Tejo wine region, it is a sandy soil, slightly textured and granular, composed of sand (70%) and clay (15%), very porous and not water-retentive.

Tasting note Quinta da Alorna Reserva das Pedras Tinta Miuda:

• Intense ruby red color;
• The fresh menthol aroma takes us to the location of the vineyard surrounded by eucalyptus trees. The aromas of black fruit are well integrated. It presents notes of wild flowers that are very typical of this Tinta Miúda da Charneca;
• Subtle, silky mouthfeel with very round and intense tannins;
• A fine, elegant profile where the acidity is noticeable and the taste is pleasant.
