Bodegas Portia, the Ribera del Duero winery of Familia Martínez Zabala , is located in Gumiel de Izán , Burgos, with the building emerging from the vineyard that surrounds it, in close and respectful contact with the environment.

Why 10 months? Because we understand that this is the necessary and sufficient time to perfectly integrate all the aromatic complexity that the Tempranillo variety gives us with all the aromas that those 10 months of aging in barrels will give us.

In the glass it is presented to us with a medium-high layer, with red, cherry tones and on a violet rim, with bluish tones, which remind us of the youth that this wine still has.

In the nose, the entry is powerful, fresh and very youthful. Above all, aromas of wild strawberries, cherries, hints of raspberries, and also some light notes of coconut, vanilla, very characteristic of the maturation in American barrels that our Portia has for 10 months.

In the mouth, at the entrance the wine is very fresh, fruity, it keeps reminding us of all those aromas of red, fresh, maybe wild fruit, with a soft, very pleasant tannin, and a slight memory of spices and toast. In the end you get a very fresh background that keeps encouraging us for the next drink.
