Tasting notes: In the nose a fruity impression of blueberries, morello cherries with some vanilla from the wood maturation. This is reflected in the taste but now supplemented with spices, dried plums and a velvety aftertaste.

Serving suggestions: Delicious with grilled and fried meat dishes, stews and hard cheeses.

Area: Navarra

Region: The Navarra region is located between the Pyrenees and Ribera de Navarra, in the east the Ujué mountain and in the west the hills along the Cidacos river. The climate is continental Mediterranean, this gives warm dry summers with cold winters.

About the winery: Piedemonte is a relatively young and modern company. It was founded in 1992 by a number of wine growers who wanted to join forces. The name comes from the geographical area 'Piedemonte de Tafalla - Olite' in which both the vineyards and the winery are located. The modern cellars have a storage capacity of 4 million liters in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, in addition there are 4000 oak barrels at their disposal.

Special features/remarks: Each of the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Grenache is processed in the blend and is planted in a different area, each with its own microclimate. The name Cuatro Tierras comes from the four regions of origin of the vines.
