Gevorkian Ariats Areni Kakhani Reserve is a refined Armenian wine made from the indigenous Areni grape variety, grown in the protected geographical area of the Vayots Dzor region. This wine is produced according to the ancient Armenian “Kakhani” method, in which carefully selected bunches of grapes are hung on ropes and dried under controlled conditions for 3-4 months. After fermentation, at a temperature of 12°C, the wine is aged for 24 months in Armenian oak barrels, which contributes to its complex flavors. With an alcohol content of 16%, this wine combines tradition and craftsmanship, offering a unique tasting experience.
Gevorkian Ariats Areni Kakhani Reserve is a tribute to the rich heritage of Armenian viticulture and a must for enthusiasts looking for a wine that brings together history, tradition and refined taste.
Gevorkian Ariats Areni Kakhani Reserve is a deep red wine with soft chestnut undertones, offering a complex aroma of ripe cherry, dried black plum, cinnamon and spicy clove, with subtle hints of toasted wood. On the palate the wine is rich in flavors of dried fruit, lollipops and cream, with a lingering finish of overripe blackberry and mild tannins.
When stored correctly, this wine has no shelf life. Ideal storage conditions are a temperature range of 5-20°C and a relative humidity of up to 85%. The wine should be stored indoors in a ventilated area, free from strong odors, and protected from direct sunlight.
In terms of food and wine pairings, Gevorkian Ariats Areni Kakhani Reserve pairs well with steaks of varying degrees of doneness, game, mature cheeses, creamy desserts and dark chocolate. For optimum enjoyment, serve the wine at a temperature of 18-20°C.
