Auchentoshan is the only single malt Scotch that distills each drop three times, for softness, purity and subtlety. Therefore Auchentoshan has a pleasant light and open character. Auchentoshan is one of the two constant-producing malt from lowland distilleries. The distillery is located near Glasgow since 1823, at the foot of the Old Kilpatrick Hills; hence the name Auchentoshan, Gaelic for "corner of the field.

Auchentoshan is unique by triple distillation 'to be applied for the preparation of single malt Scotch whiskey. By using casks of different woods which have matured earlier bourbon, sherry, port wine or the Auchentoshan malts get their subtle flavor nuances.

Auchentoshan is acclaimed. Recent accolades from his 2012 'Best Lowland' on Auchentoshan 1999 Wine Matured at the World Whiskeys Awards and 'Double Gold' on Auchentoshan Three Wood at the San Francisco World Spirits.

In 2012 Auchentoshan Heartwood was introduced along with the Springwood, exclusively for the Duty Free shops.De Heartwood is a 'no-age single malt whiskey (no age statement) and is aged in toasted Spanish sherry casks and heavily charred American oak barrels . Its taste is silky with dried fruit and orange.
