Eugenio Bustos arrived in the Uco Valley 129 years ago and planted the first Malbec from France, which he received as payment for the sale of his best horses. This is how Finca La Celia was created in 1890, named in honor of his daughter. With over 125 years, La Celia is the oldest winery in Mendoza's Uco Valley.

Valle de Uco is a wine-growing region southwest of Mendoza, in Argentina. Located along the Tunuyán River, the Uco Valley is widely regarded as one of the best wine regions in Mendoza and all of Argentina. The annual average temperature is 14 °C and the altitudes range from 900 to 1200 meters above sea level.

The combination of high elevation, alluvial soils, irrigation sourced from the Andes Mountains, a long growing season with more than 250 sunny days a year, little rainfall and large temperature differences between day and night are all conducive to the cultivation of quality wine grapes.
