Review La Gelsomina Etna Bianco
Color Straw yellow with golden glow
Fragrance Elegant aromas of ripe fruit and citrus, floral and spicy notes
Taste Light, silky smooth, cool, elegant, balanced, with aromas of citrus and ripe fruit. Long and fresh finish.
Application With appetizers, white meat, seafood, risotto, salad, baked vegetables, creamy desserts and fruit.
Verdict This Etna Bianco, made from Carricante and Catarratto grapes, is the epitome of minerality in an Etna wine. It is a captivating, exciting and delicate wine, able to express its territory from the first sip.
Note Aging: 3 months in stainless steel vats, followed by 4 months in bottle. The bottom of the Etna volcano is a mix of lava and clay. This is the result of numerous eruptions that have occurred over the centuries, allowing the dust to settle on the fields and crystallize the magma. This has made it a place with absolutely unique mineral characteristics, where native varieties of the volcano are planted at 550 meters above sea level. These are Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante and Moscato dell'Etna.
