Les Mougeottes Chardonnay – Vieilles Vignes 2023
This is a wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes that grow on old vines (Vieilles Vignes) in the south of France. These vines are more than 25 years old and give more intense aromas and taste to the wine.
After careful selection of the grapes, the first fermentation takes place at low temperatures. During this first fermentation, French oak is used for part of the harvest.
Then follows a second, so-called malolactic fermentation. This gives the Les Mougeottes Chardonnay a full rich taste and a soft mouthfeel. A further maturation of 3 months in used French oak barrels then contributes to the structure and balance of the wine.
We are very happy to have added this fine wood-matured Chardonnay to our range! Cheers!
