Nose : The American oak barrels have lots of vanilla sweetness which combines beautifully with the soft salty characters of Islay. Layered sweetness combines with fresh flowers, fresh mint, white fruit and subtle spices. The Islay influences are those of a fresh walk on the beach with salt which combines wonderfully with the sweet vanilla.
Taste : Smooth, sweet, spicy and powerful at the same time. The smooth and sweet peat smoke adds just the right edge to the “Sticky Toffee Pudding” sweetness. Dried white fruit, brown sugar and spices also play in the background.
Finish : a little more Islay influence with sweet peat smoke with mint and young fruit gives the vanilla the right support. Deliciously drinkable.
