Description: The style is different from that of the wines traditionally produced by Marqués de Riscal. The wine has a more modern character, with more fruitiness and a shorter period of barrel aging, use of French oak barrels and also shorter bottle aging. The wine has a black cherry color with violet hues that indicate a youthful character. Intense, concentrated aromas of dark fruit (plum, blackberry and blueberry) blend elegantly with the tertiary aromas of oak aging, revealing balsamic notes of licorice and eucalyptus, a fine base of caramel and toffee, and a spicy, mineral finish, which gives the wine great aromatic complexity. In the mouth the wine is smooth and oily, with a good backbone in which the taste sensations appear at all times with great finesse and elegance. The finish is very pleasant, long and persistent with a balsamic, spicy, mineral retronasal feeling that seems to go on and on.

Vinification: The grapes are picked by hand. The wine is fermented in French oak barrels. After fermentation, the wine is aged for eighteen months in the same French oak barrels.
