The 9th in Penderyn's Icons of Wales Edition whiskeys is called The Headliner. Wales' only Prime Minister, David Lloyd George (1863-1945), was a social reformer and accidentally founded the premium whiskey industry. He became (partly because of this, of course) a symbol of the national awakening of Wales, making more headlines than any other statesman of the 20th century.

This 70 cl bottle has an alcohol content of 46% and is aged in Jamaican Rum & Ruby Port Casks.

Tasting Note:

Fragrance: red berries, strawberries and cream; a touch of cranberries, light oak and vanilla. Nutmeg and cinnamon spice.

Taste: Rich sweet flavors of dried fruit, salted caramel, floral honey and a spicy kick of black pepper with a dry tannin.

Finish: sweetness, transitioning into a dry but also mainly fruity aftertaste.
