This whiskey is currently the oldest Port Charlotte on the market. Originally the spirit was filled into a refilled bourbon hogshead, and around 2009 the barrel was refilled into a Saint-Julien ex-Bordeaux red wine barrel. In January 2020 it was then placed back into its current bourbon barrel.

Flavor profile

With notes of mango and sweet tropical fruit, a soft and warm scent of vanilla and malt biscuits emerges. The syrupy softness of the barley sugar contrasts with the fire and spices that are strongly influenced by the maturation in three unique barrels. The undertone of caramel blends with a delicate maritime smoke in this smooth and illustrious dram.
