In collaboration with Beek Spirits, Dutch Powerfolk band SCRUM created a new own whisky to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary. Just like two previous bottlings, this whisky is released under the band's own label "Fior Càirdeas" and this release is called "special 20th anniversary selection #3".

This bottling concerns a blended whisky in which products from no less than 10 Dutch whisky brands are represented. This was then allowed to mature for 2 years in an Oloroso sherry hogshead cask. The result? A rich taste experience with a soft aftertaste and a smouldering bouquet, perfectly matching the mix of folk, rock and punk with which SCRUM has been impressing for 20 years.

The band SCRUM is like a power folk train that thunders over you. At full speed, the 6 men start one song after the other and at the end of the evening everyone is exhausted but satisfied... A power folk party like only SCRUM can bring! For 20 years, SCRUM has been playing at festivals in the Netherlands and far beyond to build a big party with everyone who wants to join in. Sitting still is not an option; there has to be jumping and dancing and a moshpit is no exception.

SCRUM draws its inspiration from traditional Irish and Scottish folk music, but combines instruments such as the banjo, fiddle and Scottish bagpipes with powerful punky rhythms and rough guitar sounds. All this, doused with a generous dash of good whisky, results in the power folk that SCRUM is known for.
