For their Left Field, Starward wanted to create an approachable whisky. This is a versatile single malt that retains all the hallmarks of Starward's distinctive Australian red wine cask maturation. They bring together the finest Australian barley and red wine casks, sourced
from the famous wine regions of Barossa Valley and Yarra Valley. Unique to Left Field whisky, they use only 100% French oak, which gives a rich and spicy mouthfeel. It also enhances the inherent complex oak flavours, while still allowing the delicate wine aromas to shine through.

The nose presents soft aromas of tropical fruit, red apple peel and fresh red berries all warmed by vanilla spice. Bright tropical fruit comes through on the palate, with a wonderfully rich and satisfying mouthfeel with light toasted oak. It has a soft and delicate finish.

Signature drink: Starward has deliberately created this whisky with the feeling that it can be easily used in a mix, but is also delicious on its own. Drink it however you like it! We love Starward Left Field mixed with a tonic: take a highball glass with 50ml of Starward Left Field, pour in tonic and add a slice of grapefruit as a garnish.
