LA CASA DE DIEGO & MARIA Tequila tells us the story of life through Tequila. These Tequilas come from the Jalisco region, which is located 100 km from the city of Guadalajara. They are made from the blue agave, which is also called the weber agave. These agaves are harvested by hand in winter when they have reached an age of about a year during this dry period.
After harvesting, the agaves go through a process to make Teqiula. First heated to high temperatures and then pressed. The resulting moisture is distilled twice in copper stills. After the second distillation, the Tequila is at 55% alcohol. It is then kept in steel tanks for another six months so that the oils released during the distillation can properly absorb into the liquid.
Inspired by the famous “Dia de Muertos” in Mexico, the front label shows us the story of Diego and Maria and some important periods they lived through… some were difficult moments, others full of joy but in any case they always lived these moments with a glass of Tequila in hand!
The Tequila Silver is Diego & Maria's original recipe made with ripe blue agave. The cooked agave is dominant in the taste and brings warmth and comfort in every sip.
