Filled on December 7, 1976. The whiskey was only later selected by Tomatin's Master Distiller as a special. Lying undisturbed in Pakhuis 6, the special spirit slowly matured in hand-selected traditional oak Hogsheads, creating natural, subtle fruit notes. More than four and a half decades of watchful waiting by the keepers of the cask has imbued this exclusive expression with great complexity. At the same time, however, this whiskey is also extremely youthful and vibrant, which is a very special balance that is rarely achieved.

In perfect harmony, aromas of strawberry liqueur, tropical fruit and toasted coconut balance with an exotic spicy character. Golden syrup and marzipan add to the complexity, developing on the palate into rich chocolate, coffee and brown sugar. The exotic spices reappear after this with a long, refined, lingering finish.
