Voskeni Siro Melody is an elegant Armenian white wine made from the Voskehat grape variety. The Voskehat is an old grape variety that you sometimes find in vineyards in Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Voskehat grape is mainly used to make (sweet) fortified wine. But now that Armenian viticulture is on the rise, you occasionally encounter it in a dry white wine. Voskeni Siro Melody (literally translated Love Melody) is a romantic wine that you can enjoy with your loved one. Cheers!
Flavor character Voskeni Siro Melody
Voskeni Siro Melody has an intense lemon yellow color in the glass. The nose is fruity, refined, slightly floral and spicy. The wine contains notes of ripe melon, green apple, white blossom, citrus fruit such as lemon and grapefruit, complemented by hints of white pepper and Armenian spices. Fresh acidity and round body in the mouth and a velvety soft medium aftertaste. This beauty goes perfectly with white meat, white fish dishes, seafood, light starters, salads but also with fruit. In short, a wine that suits every gastronomic occasion, but is certainly not bad to drink as an aperitif. Please serve between 8 and 10 degrees.
The Winery
VOSKENI Wines, located in Sardarapat, Ararat Valley, is a family-run winery. Vineyard was founded by family ancestor Smbat Mateossian, a successful Boston businessman who moved to Armenia in the early 1920s. He dreamed of his own winery. Unfortunately, Smbat was oppressed and his property was confiscated during the Bolshevik era. In 2008 he bought back the vineyard full of authentic grape varieties and made his dream of quality wine come true. The Ararat Valley's diverse microclimates and extraordinary terroir create unique conditions for cultivating exquisite grape varieties and producing elegant wines that reflect 6,000 years of rich authentic winemaking traditions.
