In mid-2024, Wolfburn acquired beautiful Cognac casks, made from the finest French Limousin oak and used to give a special whisky a unique finish.

The whisky was originally matured in 2017 in first-fill bourbon casks and has spent the last six months in these French casks. The subtle influence of the Cognac within has added a rich sweetness and depth of flavour.

Tasting notes

Nose
Hints of dried fruit mingle with sweet port notes, followed by aromas of vanilla, with a hint of coffee and dark chocolate.

Taste
A symphony of luxurious flavours. Dried apricots and almonds are complemented by vanilla and subtle hints of warm spices. After a moment, notes of barley sugar and smooth dark chocolate emerge. A truly decadent dram.

Aftertaste
Deliciously sweet, with vanilla and autumn fruits slowly fading, while a subtle hint of caramel and sea salt lingers.
