Deze single malt whisky is gecreëerd door master distiller Jim McEwan, van persoonlijk door hem geselecteerde vaten. Het ultieme voorbeeld van de ongeturfde, fleurige en elegante huisstijl van Bruichladdich. Het is onze handtekening en de definitieve Bruichladdich botteling.
Gemaakt van 100% Schotse gerst, druppel-gedistilleerd en daarna geheel gerijpt aan de kust van Loch Indaal, in de beste kwaliteit Amerikaans eiken vaten. Het is een getuigenis van de kwaliteit van onze ingrediënten.

Nose
Plenty with barley spirit, feels really young, cereal and citrus fighting for attention in the background. There are some sweetness reminding of granulated sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon curd, biscuit and mineral.
Taste
Quite dry, lead pencil, still mineral and lemon peel. Not immediately sweet but some white sugar or white syrup appear after a while.
Finish
Short to medium in length. Black pepper and vanilla to start with, barley spirit again with hints of wet paper, or grappa or tequila notes.
Comments
Spirit driven without any doubts, there's not much cask influence compared to the 10 year old. However, focus is meant to be on the barley and not on the wood, so I am fine with it. It is clean and well made but it disintegrates with water. Affordable? Yes it is.
